Our team of experts has worked across virtually every industry over the past two decades. From Financial and Professional Services to FinTech and Technology, we are well-versed in the trends and news and are ready to leverage our knowledge and expertise to benefit our clients.
Claudine is the founder of Crimson Communicates, and a corporate communications, branding and marketing specialist with more than 20 years of experience in brand creation and sustainability, reputation management, executive leadership campaigns, content generation, media relations and crisis communications.
Throughout her career she has worked with public companies on capital market transactions and helped start-up entities to develop their brands. She has rebranded more established businesses and launched new divisions of Fortune 500 corporations. She has worked alongside the sales and marketing teams on B2B and B2C programs which have directly contributed to the bottom line.
Her expertise is in the financial services sector where she has worked with asset and wealth managers, financial advisors, lending and retail banking companies, wholesale and independent broker-dealer and FinTech companies.
Claudine has worked with some of the world’s leading brands including The Coca-Cola Company, HSBC, General Motors and AIG. Most recently she has worked with Sammons Financial Group’s wholesale broker-dealer Sammons Retirement Solutions, the leading trade association for CFOs and senior-level financial executives Financial Executives International (FEI), the first cardless cash network in the US Pin4, and financial planning software vendor MoneyGuidePro for which she interviewed 40 industry thought leaders and ghost wrote the book Exploring Advice: What you Need to Know About Good Financial Advice, A Quality Financial Plan and the Role of A Fiduciary.
Prior to Crimson Communicates, Claudine was part of the global management team at Aspectus PR, and was responsible for establishing a business and building a brand in the US for the UK-based agency as it expanded its operations to North America. She was responsible for the development of all company operations and financials including the North American P&L, tax planning and the creation and selection of all financial processes, systems and benefits packages. Through her expertise in the financial services sector, Claudine expanded the agency’s heritage from financial technology to create a purebred financial services practice in North America which accounted for one-third of agency revenues in the first year.
Prior to joining Aspectus she spent several years at Financial Dynamics (now part of FTI Consulting) where she was instrumental in building the NYC Corporate Communications Practice and went on to run the firm’s West Coast operations while overseeing bi-coastal teams and P&Ls.
Claudine’s branding and crisis campaigns have received industry recognition: PRSA Brand Identity Award for the launch of ex-AOL CEO Steve Case’s vacation club Exclusive Resorts and the Gold SABRE Award for her crisis and reputation management work for shoe mogul Steve Madden from his indictment and prison incarceration to his release. Claudine has a B.A. in Journalism and Public Relations from Rider University.
Claudine’s personal quest is to see as many of the world’s natural, old and new wonders as possible. She highly recommends Petra in Jordan, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, the glaciers in Patagonia, Argentina and of course Dubai, where she stayed in the world’s only seven-star hotel The Burj Al Arab. But most weekends you can find her working on her home in the Hudson Valley in New York and enjoying time with her family.
Crimson Communicates’ Heather Ailara is a strategic communications professional committed to helping companies’ “voices” rise above the noise. Her often integrated marcom programs draw from 20 years of consumer and corporate sector experience. All such programs anchor on the fundamentals of successful public relations: audience understanding, message clarity, effective content and appropriate delivery channels.
Recently, Heather served as president of Nereus, a boutique agency known for counseling technical standards groups. Under her leadership, the company expanded its clientele while delivering comprehensive communications services ranging from brand development to content-driven promotions. She also grew the team along with their skill sets, ultimately yielding a dramatic increase in revenue and profit.
She previously held strategic roles at Peppercomm, Racepoint Group and tech giant Texas Instruments where she oversaw the wireless business unit’s global communications programs. Notably, these programs significantly increased year-over-year metrics; setting TI-wide best practices for integrated PR campaigns.
Heather’s career represents award-winning work for global brands including British Telecom, GE Financial Assurance, Levi Strauss & Co., Panasonic, Schick as well as start-ups. Her strategies influenced the reputation of EqualLogic in advance of its record-breaking acquisition and the rise of technology disruptor LivePerson, leading to its successful IPO despite the post-dot-com-era market.
When not putting her Boston University degree to work, Heather can typically be found planning her next travel excursion.
